Yeah, but this does need to get back on topic :/. Well if it's all albums, I haven't had the money to buy how the West Was Won by Zeppelin so I bought BBC Sessions and The Song Remains the Same by Zeppelin, both live, Metallica and Pantera are good, BLS and Slayer is pretty good. I love Metallica because none of their albums are really having a bad song on them that I've heard. ...And Justice For All is a great one because it keeps coming at you song after song with powerful delivery, Master Of Puppets was another great one. I love albums like that that aren't a greatest hit's album that can pack one album with such power and delivery.

I know people think that Ozzy may have crossed into mainstream when he made it but does anyone here like his album Down to Earth? Its a great album. I listen to it more than any album I own. I would come home from school and just set my CD player to repeat the album over and over and over. Track 11 skips still because I played it so many times. Its so heavy I cant stop listining to it! FUCK YA

Down to Earth is by Ozzy as a solo artist. Pretty good shit man. But, though I love the oz man and he can no wrong, the album is not as heavy as previous. Though heavyness is not ALL I rate albums on I like Ozmosis a little better. It has really good power ballads and a really heavy ass song. Its, according to ozzy, the first album he wrote EXCATLY how he felt. About stuff he cared about.
No one chose him but, What about allice cooper? He kicks some ass. Pretty creepy but still thats why we love em! Is the opening guitar part for No More Mr.Nice Guy the opening to Bevis and ButtHead do America?

Alice Cooper is freakin cool! He is the Marylin Manson of his era, (but with a more old school metal flavor...and not quite so...f*cked up in the head). Plus he can play golf!

Alice Cooper is great. He's the reason I start listening to heavy metal music

Not to veer off topic here but...I have noticed that ever since I had a Heavy Metal themed signature other people have put them too. I hope I dont sound like a jerk but It is cool that there are so many Metal Heads (as I like to call us) on the board. WOOOO!

Rush is old school, I like em. Especially their concept album, 2112, its like a scifi story with a plot and everything.

Yesh Rush was amazing in lots of albums because they would make literal Rock suites, and they would usually be epic thanks to drummer and writer Neal Peart. Have you by chance heard The Necromancer or Fountain of Lamneth?

There not on the board but what about GWAR? I have heard a sample of one of their songs and saw one of their DVD covers and they look HEAVY with a capitol H E A V Y. Wicked shit! You guys into that death metal stuff? I have never dabbled out of my normal heavy metal, occasional hair metal(twisted sister!).

Personally I've nevr heard of them but I don't really like Death Metal, I don't know why, it doesn't appeal to me. Classic Rock and Metal all the way!!

With most new metal bands all they do is scream out and I cant make out what they are saying. The same is with GWAR, but the one thing I DO like about them is the heavy riffs they fire off like a *pauk*in gun on the bismark or somthing.
I hate ozzfest(crucifiy me if you like) because all the bands their are no talent ass clowns who think they sound good because they have little to no sence of good music, and they all sound the same. I could get on a stage and grunt and roar into a mic real easy like. Sure they may listen to Ozzy or Zepplin or Hendrix but they just dont get it. They dont live the life or really know what it takes to be a Rockstar(with a capital R). The show Battle For Ozzfest just showed me how mainstream those dumbasses went. I could tell that sharon pushed Ozzy into doing that gay ass show. She pushes him into everything. (I suppose that we could thank her for saving his life and also she is the love of his life but whatever...)
But to get back on topic, Gwar grunts, screams, and growls but has more of the oldschool+90's metal to it. Bam!

I've memorized Stairway To Heaven and I can sing it exactly Plant, which I don't do all the time, and here's how much I love that song. I found an old 5th grade recorder and convinced myself that I would learn the part from Stairway n it. I just did.

Stairway is such a great song. Though my favorite part would have to be either "If theres a bustle in your hedgrow..." and that verse or the end part, "And as we walk on down the road..." to the end. Great song.

You guys into that death metal stuff? I have never dabbled out of my normal heavy metal, occasional hair metal(twisted sister!). I love death metal...death metal kicks ass. Namely Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Six Feet Under, and Morbid Angel. Black metal too, it's very similar, namely Nile and Behemoth. IDK, it's just a WAY more brutal form of metal that can easily assert its dominance over other genres of music (namel, hip-hop and rap)
