I only put one from each of the bands that I think deserve to be on the list and their best album in my opinion. So choose from the list and tell me who you think put the best album out. Me? I think Sabbath(shock surpise) did an amazing job with Black Sabbath. Nothing but gold(technicly tripple platinum but you cant mine platinum!)

I can understand that, although I think Slayer: Reign In Blood should have been up there, as that is one of thier finests works. So I went for Seasons in the Abyss because it is their second best.
If I had two choices, Blizzard of Ozz would have been next.

well its all opinion and in my opinion it was one of there better. Even though i dont listen to slay ALOT I have heard most songs off that album, and a few others. The thing is Black Sabbath is one of the founders of heavy metal so I give credit where credit is due, ya know?

Very true, although Black Sabbath was one of the original founders of metal, I believe that Seasons in the Abyss was the pinacle of heavy in 1990. When you turn on your headphones and blast "war ensemble" or "hallowed point", it's like pure energy, and then Slayer toned it down to a groove riff with "Seasons in the Abyss" and "Dead Skin Mask".
But then again, I wish I could give em all a vote, cause they all kick ass!

Well, I don't know if you could count Van Halen as a metal band, their 80's hard rock, so I don't think it's right to put that up there even though I have the album and I love it(going seriously off-topic but I think it had an amzing roster of songs), I think Black Sabbath's self titled album is amazing.

I also like, slipknot, system of a down and others. so there are no worries on that.

What does everyone think of Ronny Dio? He took Ozzy's place as lead in Black Sabbath in 80 somthin when they kicked him out (dumb move). He seems like a cheap replacement for the Oz man. I like holy diver though....its a good one.

What of Dio? Well, can I say my piece? SUCKED! Black Sabbasth's dumbest move was kicking out Ozzy, because he was their frontman and one of elements that got them noticed more. Ozz made the band just as much as Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
