So, the question is; good guys or the bad guys? In general, like in movies, books or whatever. Not in real life cuz IRL bad asses suck..! In my opinion, bad guys are usually better, not always, but usually. (I have some kind of addiction to all weirdos...) And the side characters also. Sometimes just those heroic main characters are so annoying..x) What do you think?

I would agree so . I mean have you seen the final climatic scene in predators where Royce is "somehow" with enough strength after being brutally beaten by mr.black able to defeat him. The concept is also with the spider-man movies where somehow "good beats bad" like how paper beats rock . Thats a stereo-type. I'm pretty sure the decepticons would totally annihilate the autobots

No such thing as good or evil. Therefore no such thing as good or bad. As far as movies go, good/bad guys usually suck. The bad guy is "evil" for the lulz of it. There's usually no reason whatsoever behind their actions. Same goes for the good guys. They're saints for the sake of being saints.
Now good movies twist it all up where you no longer have bad/good guys but just protagonists and antagonists. The Rock did a good job on this, where the main antagonist (Mr. General) was actually a good guy and merely holding people hostage for the sake of getting family's paid with illegal money.
And then there's Big Boss from the Metal Gear games. He got totally and absolutely screwed by his country, and so decided to make a new country for soldiers like him. So I like bad/good guys when they are good characters, so I go both ways with them. Voldemort sucks but big Boss is cool. Good Transformers suck but Sam Fisher is cool. Spiderman sucks but The Dark Knight is cool.

I mean, when the character is three dimensional and not just "I'm bad ass cuz I want to", the character is cool. Bad guys, that are cool, usually aren't actually "bad", they are just doing the opposite what the main character wants, so they're bad. Like you mentioned.

The only bad guy I have ever like was Albert Wesker from the resident evil games. Man that Austrailian prick had lot of talent! its just a shame he had to die in redisent evil 5 though.

Evil all the way, especially in video games.

I tend to respect the bad guys more so than the "hero" because they way characters are usually developed, it shows their talents that put them into the position where they are, whereas the hero is just kinda there, because he is the hero. My take on things at least.
PS: I like movies where good does not always triumph at the end, and wish there were more of them.

I'm with Orthrus, like usual. Although I love the anti-hero.
I'm always a fan of things where you can't tell the difference between the two opposing forces. The Legacy of Kain game series, for instance. Who's the real good "guy" in it? There's Raziel who's on a path of destruction and vengeance, and at first the annihilation of an entire race, because he was destroyed by Kain who is trying to keep his dying race of vampires, let alone a dying world alive. To put it as simply as possibly, quite likely I over simplified it.

Ah yes the classic ongoing struggle between the forces of light and darkness. Yeah Bad guys in the movies are just total bad ass. Take Predator for example we here all love this alien and yet he is the antagonist he has the cooler weaponry the better way of killing an alround death machine that we love because us as humans love dangerous threats its in our blood, that's why for example star wars the "villain" has the best tech, best weapons, best theme music, etc... Let's just face it most good guys in the movies we think aren't great as we think we could have done that much better than them it is our sense of longing to be the person who saves the day in a blaze of glory against a foe that should defeat us or even kill us it is how we can survive against things and how we prevail. Sorry to sound so philosophical but it is true we want to be the good guy so we don't like the good guy because we think if we were in that possition we could do ten times better.
