I kinda wanna take the time to make a thread about CoD (Call of Duty) since Black Ops comes out in 15 days and 2 weeks. So to start this voting type countdown that locks in exactly 15 days and 24 hours, it be a nice way to discuss this and that who's a camper, booster, moders etc , etc whatever we want. however, i know people will tend to get hostel when it comes to finding out about who's moders and boosters so I'd like to keep this thread clean as possible so here our my rules to this thread. I know it sounds like I'm being strict about it but its just to make it clear we're not one xbox live or PS3, and perhaps I'm getting carried away with the rules after all they are on the boards were can read it, sorry that sort of thing.
1) its a hard thing to do when you see the words "I'm a booster" and what not that it makes you wanna talk trash, but not here. thats why we have PMs, so respectfully, fight it out on PMs. if it continues on the thread again, I'm going to ask you to leave.
and number 2) If rule one is broken, I'm going to have to have one of the staff lock it down. Depends how violent it goes.
Now, since I got that out the way. I'm gonna start off. I Strongly don't like Call of duty 1,2, and 3 but I do like World at war. I love Call of Duty 4: Modern warfare and Modern warfare 2 because it relates to Modern times and its were i can admire military tactics and use bit of it on there. I Love playing sniper, most prised weapons is the M21 EBR and WA2000, and yes there is a difference between sniping and camping. I dislike Campers, but i can live with one person camping and dislike boosters but I love hunting them. (and not to take this personal) but i hate moders. but i love a challenge to so its all good. If I'm in a pissed off mood, were as I'm cursing or just frustrated, i call in for a real heavy duty lead shooting action, it weights about 14.55 pounds (6.6 kilogram), gas-operated shoots 650 rounds per minute with 7.62x39 cartridge, works well with just a fore-grip and designed by Vasily Degtyaryov. its beautifully baffling and quiet a few had overly excited with the well usage for this fine weapon. The Kalashnikov's big uncle. Ruchnoy Pulemyot Degtyaryova....The RPD. but i call it Really Pissed off Dude.

Story short: Fuck call of duty.
Story itself: The original call of duty games were great. They were fun shooters for their time, and were pretty much like any other game: you play 'em for fun.
Now when you move up to Cod4 and MW2, heads need bashing. Cod4 was a game that had good and bad. The good: it was an absolutely excellent shooter that was lots of fun to play and was also an excellent war game itself. It removed the black and white "good guys win" crap and actually had excellent depictions of stuff that really happens. Like, we screw up and the good guys die. Summed up, not only was it a good shooter, it was also a good war game.
The bad? It spawned a horde of damned morons. The primary fan base that was drawn to the game was composed of 13 year old tards that knew absolutely nothing about warfare or weaponry, played the game for a few minutes, and from then on never shut up about their newfound airsoft knowledge and tactics.
----
MW2: Worst game of the year that needs to be destroyed. It completely removed everything that made Cod4 great. It was a hollywood based, john rambo piece of bullshit that had absolutely no idea what it was talking about and threw any sense of realism out the window. Worse still, not only was the game epically retarded, but the 2 million + fanbase actually buys the crap the game pulled as true, and now I can neither watch a youtube video nor read a forum without countless morons ranting about ACRs and TAR-21s without a clue as to what they're talking about.
Black ops? Built off the trend that MW2 started: Clueless hollywood bullshit made by people who've never held a rifle, meant to draw a fanbase of idiotic teenagers that get hard-ons and feel all badass when they play the "Uber tacticool black ops ninja squad" retards. They say they have "military advisers" but obviously either entirely ignored their advice or never had them in the first place. You only need to look at the bloody games box art to see this. Amazing, a game so insanely ignorant and rambotized that even the box art gives it away.
Therefore: The modern call of duty series is a cancer on this countrys youth that only allows idiots to breed and floods our recruiting offices with morons that have no idea what they're getting into. Combined with the recession, games like this have over the past 5 years turned our Army into a clusterfuck of people that never should have gotten into in the first place and made the organization our worst military branch today.
Rant over.

Story short: Fuck call of duty. Story itself: The original call of duty games were great. They were fun shooters for their time, and were pretty much like any other game: you play 'em for fun. Only played the first one, and much preferred the Medal of Honour for WW2 shooters anyway. Still the greatest single player video game campaign I've ever played. I wept when they shot Gaz. Wept. I only played MW for around 2 months on Live as I only got broadband in Autumn 2008 just before WaW came out. hence me dropping MW and playing Waw non-stop for the next 10 months. I fucking ruled with the SVT, ruled I tells ya. Still got over 5k kills with that gun. Whoah. MW2 (in my opinion) is ace. Granted the single player campaign is blown over the top Hollywood style in an attempt to outclass the first campaign (at which it fails miserably) but has some excellent stand out moments (abseiling down a cliff before silently knifing a guard, the **SPOILER ALERT** moment Shephard betrays you etc). The multiplayer (on Hardcore) is amazing. No Map, no hud, nothing but you and your gun and a room full of victi- I mean other players. I've played MW2 almost obsessively over the past year. I hunt boosters and modders, I smash people with my Raffica and cap bases, work co-operativley with the guys who I play with (all of whom are over 18) and we all have a great laugh until we get a dogshit connection because Activision won't use some of ther profits that made the game the bigges entertainment launch of all time to give console users dedicated servers. Aside from that it's all gravy. So the last two games became popular by giving gamers a "Hollywood" style military game. It's only a natural progression that Treyarch follw suite. There are more realistic military games out there I imagine (someone mentioned Flashpoint: Dragon Rising as one of these), but Activision will stick to making what the public want, which is what they created the market for - a quasi-realsistic miliary shooting game set in a contemporary environment. If some gamers can't discern between real life and games, then they need help. I wouldn't for one moment think that because I completed Fight Night that I can take on Ricky Hatton, or by beating all the lap times on F1 2011 I could beat Schumacher in a race. And likewise I wouldn't think that because I'm a pretty good COD player I could last more than 30 seconds in any kind of real-life combat situation.

And I honestly just could not play the campaign more than once because of how ridiculous the plot was. If you work out the logic, Makarov's face is smaller than a bullet. Literally. That's how much sense the campaign makes. In order to work, Makarov's head has to be smaller than a shell casing. Too much facepalm. Waaaay too much.

Amazing, a game so insanely ignorant and rambotized that even the box art gives it away. I can understand were your coming from. Not Only they made it look like Rambo but they also threw in some red dawn crap to make everything biblical--like for the love of Bethany, they even used wolverines in the game and had some other guy said it in the ranger mission. Yeah, maybe Russians could evade us if they wanted to, but it was never realistically possible to begin with. As for the little bastards skipping school to play it is a downer too. I might of held a pellet gun at 13, a black powder shotgun at 17, and a single shot bolt action .22 caliber plenty of times. not to mention having my neighbor shot in my ally by a drunken stoned idiot of a friend who passed by the time he got to the hospital. These kids think its so cool to have to use one on a game and think its cool to have one til the next thing you know they're either blown there brains out or straight to juvy. And yet, they allow the 8 year olds to play it. As for the MW2 its self, the Hollywood crap was too over the edge, like pretty sure you had like 300 get fighters and AC-130 plains going over seas, i can almost picture that but you would need a air craft carrier for the jet fighters to take off from so its not wasting fuel to go over seas, not to mention, we would of been on high alert already and your telling me there isn't a guy on the watchtower on central air control looking through binoculars seeing it? i could be wrong on this part but I'm also saying what the odds of it is. even what E-Stalin said about Black Ops being Holley wood is true, like really they put one similar scene from deer hunter were the guy is being force to place Russian rullet and another part were your riding a motorcycle with a shotgun in one hand a and reloading it. that was from the terminator: judgment day. They designers are just too worried about they're game and want to make it good, i can understand but all the same, too much Red Dawn and Rambo mix in it. If they ever did make another CoD game, yeah, I'd buy it, maybe play the campaign and multiplayer, but i'll never really enjoy it like i did with CoD4: modern warfare.

It's fine, i take no affence to it. world at war is pretty much like the 3 call of duty games with little changes. but i was kind of upset about it. they made more World war two and not enough modern. they kinda evened it out though.
