Ever see a film that was kinda great or kinda sucked, but only needed one difference to make it absolutely awesome? Submit ideas, here's two: (Oh mind you, this will naturally have spoilers for some films so watch your step)
The Rock: If Cage's character had actually died at the end instead of being blown into the water. Would have went from a simple and cheap action film into a full on war film.
T3: Forget the T-X. Have it in the film for the first quarter, then have it destroyed, and instead have contaminated Arnie hunt down Connor instead.

I know this thread is very old now but I do feel the need to add Prometheus to this list purely due to having read and watched interviews with original writer Jon Spaihts his concept for the creation for several types of the xenomorph creature and the fact his whole plot idea was more in keeping with the traditional Alien concept which Prometheus leads into no matter how much they say it doesn't and it stands alone they have a f*cking Xenomorph in it and several references to them. Now to make this film better they should never ever have allowed Damon Lindelof to tweak the script sure he had success with Lost upon its first few series but quickly became sh*t so if we'd taken away Lindelof we would have had a pretty badass movie in conclusion to this all I can say is Ridley Scott heed my warning Lindelof will do unto Prometheus what Anderson did unto AVP don't bring him back for a sequel don't do it.

The Lord of the rings trilogy should have just been one movie, as it just went on for way to long for each and every part of it.I for some unknown reason went to see the first one at the cinema and I wish to god I hadn't! For most of the movie it was just yak yak yak some travelling then of course back to the seemingly never ending talking! I couldn't help but let my mind wonder as I was so bored and was honestly glad when it was over. And as a result of that I haven't bothered with the other two. The books and anything else to do with that franchise are also something to be avoided.

I couldn't help but let my mind wonder as I was so bored and was honestly glad when it was over. And as a result of that I haven't bothered with the other two. The books and anything else to do with that franchise are also something to be avoided. Correct me if my information is wrong, but when Peter Jackson was looking for a production team to make the Lord of the Rings movies happen, Hollywood director Harvey Weinstein had said he would only make all three books into one movie, take it or leave it. I am very glad he did not go that way... can't imagine it would meet the same quality as the three existing movies. It would make sense for them to make three movies as the Lord of the Rings books are a trilogy. It would be impossible to keep true to the books and have the audience understand what was going on in a mere 2 to 3 hours. They would not be able to call it the Lord of the Rings because they would have to leave out a great amount of detail and information that makes the story what it is, and be obligated to insert their own unoriginal Hollywood version for the majority of the audience who have not read the books to find the movie understandable and entertaining and to make any money off of it, which would leave the readers most likely disappointed. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Converting the books into the three movies was already quite restricting because only so much content can be formatted into a movie without it coming out too rushed and complex. Surprisingly though, the Hobbit was altered in the way that they seemingly added more content (though probably took out some too). For example, apparently the pale orc, Azog, in the movie didn't even exist in the book, but I suppose they added that in because they thought there wasn't enough present conflict. I personally think the Lord of the Rings is a wonderful trilogy but whatever floats your goat. and the Hobbit was quite entertaining as well.
