ok photobucket is a storage thing for pictures. it allows me to put in still pictures however when I then make a slide show of pictures and put the URL in then the avatar doesn't appear. does anyone know how to get a moving avatar up?

Slideshows would be too big, I believe. There's something about them that doesn't work right. You have to actually make an animation, then upload it to photobucket. But if the animation is too long it will screw up the animation and make it tiny, too small to even see.
Hope this helps you.

To make avatar/sig animations you need to actually make the slides in the program you're using.. Most new versions of Photoshop, Paintshop Pro or any photo editing programs will have the ability to do it...
What program are you using?

just the general photoshop, on the internet. I make a slideshow, save it but the URL doesn't work or something because it doesn't load the avatar up. it works fine for still pictures.

you may need to use adobe imageready to make the animations(it should come along in your photoshop software package). Its very easy if its a slide show. just put all the images you want in the slideshow in a folder. open imageready and go to "file" "import" " folder as frames" once you do that, tweek with your animation settings, and voila! you got a slide show. now, once you have it at what you want it to be, go to "file" "save Optimised as" and save your file. notice that it will be saved as a gif file. once you got your gif file, proceed to use photobucket or any other image hosting on the net and upload your gif. gif files should be able to load. PS. I apologise to the mods for the size of the images, if its seems too big, please do let me know. I'll gladly change them if need be.
