Now taking Nominations for the extremely important and respectful position of Global Arbitrator! Keeping with the democratic system, we'll accept someone if they're been both Nominated and Seconded - you may Nominate or Second yourself, but not both. Once we have enough Nominations, all names will be placed in a Poll for the final judgement - although some Nominations may be accepted automatically if un-opposed. It could also help if you offer an explanation or reasonings for your choice, however there's no multiple postings allowed... and for once, definately no going off-topic. Good luck to all, may the most deserving Yautja win! EDIT: There has already been some discussion on this topic in this thread.

So I am guessing we make a main nomination and then a secondary?
Saera is for my main nomination. She's on most of the time (which is a plus). I don't know much on if she's up for banning people if it is really needed, but on the usual tidying up the place now and then (moving threads, deleting stuff people want deleted that's junk) I think she would be good for that job. I have never seen her be at any trouble with anyone.
I would be my second choice. I already got a taste of school today, and I think I will still be able to handle such a responsibility. I visit the doctor tommorow for the medication problem and I am getting help on that aspect. All I can say is that I will be very strict. If I see someone spamming or breaking the rules, I will tell them to read the rules. Second time, a warning, third time either a temp ban or another warning based on the severity of the last offence and then a temp ban on the next offence. There's a difference between ignorance of the rules and correcting the mistake instead of willful disobedience of the rules and full disregard for them.

I think William would make a great GM, so I nominate him. Also, I second Sara, and Saera. They are all on often, well-liked, and fair. Regarding my status as GM...I am on every day most of the time but due to time constraints I am not on for very long and rarely have chance to read all posts. Still, I do keep an eye out for things that need to be moved, silly posts that desperately need to be deleted, plus I also answer PM requests and questions, etc. I try to contribute to the board and encourage others to stay active as well. As long as everyone is fine with me being a GM I would be happy to stay on as one

I nominate Lieutenant for Gmod - i already thought she was mod afer the way she looks after the board, and is well known and liked by most people and always enforces the rules to other members.
I'd also like to second (or should that be third) sara as Gmod, for her war on spam (imho you didn't go ott) and for her ideas and input over the past 5 months - especially if we get the yearbook up and running. Also i know she wouldn't have any problems enforcing the rules if the time came.

I agree, I guess the only reason she didn't cross my mind is because I didn't know if she was up for the job and I don't see her on as much (well, at least until night falls around..I consider her apart of the US 'nightly crew'). She seems gung ho about the mod position proposed to her in the other thread. As for the position of gmod, I think she would be great for that as well.

I nominate Setg' for Gmod status.
As I said, he's good, he's responsible, and he's here.
I second Will for Gmod.

i nominate myself and if any one wants to second that please do so You're kidding, right? What makes you think you are qualified for the job? Now, I'm not trying to be rude this time, but even you have to admit you don't necesarily have the credentials or the necessary support for it. I mean, you're a cool guy and all, I just don't think we can trust you with that kind of responsibility yet.

I'll second Set'g and Sara, Set'g can't get on everyday but I think he'd do a great job anyway. Sara's just... Wow. ... I'll nominate myself and see how it goes. I have experience, I can get on five days a week for a good 4, normally five hours each day. Oh and what can I say, I like enforcing things on others ^_^. Since the computers I use have broadband (DSL) I can whizz through threads. I actually feel limited as a moderator, I know I can do way more for the Hunted. Not think, know. EDIT: Oh yeah, I have a grasp of the English language .

I nominate... HalfLife. He seems to be a rather active customer, and I've known him for a long time. I think he can be trusted.
And as for Bentu.... LMFAO. N00bs, such a humorous species.

I second the votes for both LT and Michael, i believe that they are responsible (and active on the boards) enough for the job.

Ehh, just leave him be. No use huffing over it. I mean, seriously, let him have his false sense of security and pride and let the poll be erected with the nominations. If Joker decides to humor this guy and put him in the polls then let it happen. Judging by the reaction of everyone toward him, I highly doubt this guy is going to be choosen in a vote. And if he was then that means he probably had his friends from school come in here, make accounts and then vote for him. I can see this all a mile away.

This is a very serious matter when it comes to picking new Global Moderators. Especially in my eyes, not that I don't mind doing it, and bless Masurao for working just as hard as me, if not more so, but it would be really nice to have some more active Gmods around.
Now, just because I nominate someone does not mean I'm favoring them, it just means I think they would be good for the job, and I respect them enough to think that. Meaning no, just because some of you in this election may be my friend doesn't mean I'm going to back you up. No hard feelings. Hopefully.
Bentu, like it or not, you left. A long long time ago. You abandoned the forum along with your little friend Centanu, so in my opinion you gave up any chance to be more than a normal member. You cannot just run in here after all that time and think that you can get special privileges when you weren't even active. Frankly, I find it quite stupid that you would think that.
Anyway, back to the topic of importance.
I nominate Psychoman. He's a good member, a good poster, and I've never had any problems with him. Whether or not he has any experience, I'm not exactly sure.
Which is why I'm curious if applications might work better, and then maybe select three or four and put those in a poll. *shrugs* I like making sure it's someone who knows what they're doing.
I also second Sara. If a reason is needed, read her posts. They're perfect examples of an exemplary member.
