Okay, I looked through the first two pages, and surprisingly, I found nothing about this game discussed here. It surprises me, mostly because I find it's a rather interesting game, (gory, but interesting) and fun. Has anyone else played it? Or any subsequent titles? What do you all think of the storyline? I think it's pretty captivating, though I wish the game was a little longer. It's probably just my love for obnoxiously long games that's speaking through me right now.

Yeah, that would be the Hydra. That was actually the first boss in the game.
Anyone else play the game all the way through? Anyone play it in God Mode?

Played it, beat it. Thought it was a great game. Want to play the seccond one. But I never got past the challenge of the gods... So mad about that, wanted to get the secrete costumes and such, oh well. Maybe I'll try again sooner or latter. The games alot of fun though, and I like the macbare ways they twisted the mythology into. Love the Gorgons. even if fighting alot of them sucks ass.

I loved that. I thought the Sirens were wicked, and I also like that Pandora's Temple was on a Titans back. It was awesome really. I haven't passed the game, lol, I've been busy playing that game and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence.

Ah.. yeah, pandora's temple was fun as hell. Loved the zombie man with one arm.
We should make a thread for Castlevania period... I think I'll go do that..

I LOVE the God of War games! I think there are 3 now, but I've only played the first two. I love Greek mythology, so this game was great for my friends and I. Decent graphics, puzzles and action always goes down a treat. The boss was a Scylla, it's the same as a Hydra, only water-based. At the end of the game, my friend and I got the blue blades, and were on Mount Olympus and we were like 'Uhh... Now what do we do?' We got the blades and couldn't use them anywhere.

Yeah, Han and I were pretty much the same way. "Oh we got new swords, that's the awesome!...err, so, um, now what do we do?" I like how the game ends, really. (The first one.) We've yet to get the second, but we will when we get the chance.

The second one is pretty good, this time you get to fight new kinds of baddies (the first "boss" bad guy is the Colossus of Rhodes brought to life by Athena), gorgons that you get to rip the eyes out of, you even get the chance to fight the berserker that you killed in the cut-scene in the first game when Aries granted your request. Sadly, I haven't got the game anymore, I traded it in when I got my 360 last month. That said, I loved the first God of War game, and completing it wasn't easy, Aries was a bitch to beat, although that was a walk in the park compared to the Challenge of the Gods mini-game. I always got to stage 9 and couldn't get any further which was very annoying.

I adored both of the games for the PS2, and honestly I thought the second one was actually better. It was longer, more challenging, and I actually enjoyed the storyline more. It had some very interactive boss fights, loved the gore, loved the amount of enemies you had to tear through.
However, I will say that Titan mode in that game was ridiculous. It took me forever to adjust from playing on hard to getting, literally, one shot by the Colossus of Rhodes if he even touched you.
The Challenge, however, didn't feel quite as difficult and the overpowered Gorgon's head made it much easier than it probably should have been. Blade of Olympus is the win.
Sure wish they would hurry up and make the third one, seen a couple screens, and omy - Kratos looks amazing.
Edit: Setg lies! Rhodes was brought to life by Zeus in the form of an eagle! Don't worry, I saved you from his crafty trap. Did I mention it shows Hades in that game, and sweet Jesus, he looks amazing.

Do you have links on where to see the images of the third game General? Or could I just look up God of War 3 on google or something?

God of War has a great story, gameplay, and graphics. I would say it is a 10/10 game. Nothing makes you feel good inside than stabbing minotaurs in the mouth with your blades.

Hey Nesral, remember the convo about resurrecting old threads? Unless you're Jesus or Ian Brown, you shouldn't be doing resurrection. This thread hasn't been posted in for close to three weeks, which although it wasn't a million years ago, it's still as dead as Aries when you whip his 8 fiery-armed butt at the end of the first game.
In future, if you want to post in a thread and it's not been posted in for at least a couple of weeks, check with a Mod or Gmod first, there's a good chap.

Now I must post this since no one else has.
GOD of WAR II Boss Fight: The Sisters of Fate. Third Sister: Guardian of the Threads of Life.
Now if you played the game you now what I'm about to say. She's the third and final sister, huge purple-ish and covered in breasted nipples. WTF?!? It's this ugly huge gelatinous nipple thing. Disgusting, but cool. I'd love to shake their hands for making this Sister of Fate as she is rather grotesque and blob-ish. A good evil to kill, heh heh.
