Burnout is a good game. The part when you crash the cars and they blow up is really cool. I also love the speed the cars have.

Revenge definitely had better graphics than Dominator. More details in level design, better atmosphere, and the tracks actually felt like locations rather than racing tracks. If anything, revenge should be better than Dominator because Dominator isn't a proper sequel. It's just something to take up racers impatience while they throw in all the proper stuff for Burnout 5: Paradise.
Dominator doesn't have the intensity of Revenge in the sense that you don't have time to be as aggressive. It's much more difficult to perform takedowns and what not, and is made even harder because the game is more skillbased. Half the time you won't even see an obstacle you crash into, so you end up trying to drive and not attack. It doesn't feel as fast paced either since you can't earn boost unless you're doing a supercharge, unlike Revenge where you're going at least 200 at almost all times. Dominator seems to be more focused on keeping burnout chains going than anything else, and you end up just trying to earn enough boost to perform one than race or take others down. In Revenge it is fun to earn boost, it is actually much riskier than in Dominator, because the only way to earn boost in Dominator that's not very hard is to perform near misses and drive in oncoming. In Revenge there was so much traffic that if you drove into oncoming, it actually became dangerous. You either weave very much or you crash. In Dominator, you can't check traffic. Which means you to make the game remotely playable they cut down the amount of traffic by a huge amount, so if you go into oncoming you won't have any problem surviving. If anything, it's easier to stay in the oncoming lane because you can spot the cars headlights very easily.
Revenge all the way. If you want a more intense Burnout than wait until they release Paradise, an actual sequel.
