The scariest I've played was Silent Hill 1 & 3 and Clock Tower 3....the music gets me. It sounds like someone is going to come up behind you & attack u from behind.

Mine would be Resident Evil 1. I thought it was scary because those zombies give me the creeps.

There was another game I played, I think it was Graveyard hunters or something...Don't know, it was almost like Resident Evil with the zombies, they sometimes poped out of nowhere in the alley ways...see thats what they need to do in the movies to scare people. Good times!

I don't really get scared with games but when it comes to creeping me out, Silent Hill sure does.

Yeah, mainly the times when they startle you, but hell; turn off all the lights, lock the door and play it with the sound up a midnight. Serious Fun.

Resident Evil 4. Dear god, I have not been able to sleep without a nightlight since I played that game. Problem is that it's so scary, I want to stop but at the same time it's addicting so I have no choice but to play and continue getting scared. Not a good cycle....
I remember playing the first Resident Evil back in Spain. I was in my friend's house, we took turns and when it was my turn I had no *censored* clue what to do or how to use the controler properly. Next thing I knew an entire hoard of zombies were on me, biting chunks off my neck and whatnot. I screamed SO loud, then I ran out the room, dropping the controler as I put as much space as I could away from me and that game.
Oh, now that I remembered. For all who play RE4, please, PLEASE ignore the horrible voice-acting. I am a Spaniard and that it NOT what Spaniards sound like. The game villagers talk with a Mexican accent! The insult! It's like taking GTA: San Andreas and having all the gang members talking British. It's absurd.
