Part 3, and Part 5 for me. Part 3 just seems like the Friday movie since It's where Jason gets his mask. Part 5 because It's different, and It backs off the main story a bit. Cool gloves,I have thought about trying to make one myself. Yeah, part 3 is great, one of the best, and is neat in 3D,but I just prefer part 6 myself,I like Zombie Jason. I also Like part 7 Jason, and how he looks, which is why I have this... Picked it up cheap at my local comic shop! Best looking Jason I have yet. Look at the detail here... The mask is awesome except the mask straps are real thin, the shirt is a separate piece which adds more detail, and the paint on the skin is very accurate. His mask also comes off.... The face is so movie accurate. This figure is now available at Toysrus and at most comic shops,so if you are interested, check it out. Expect to pay between $10-20 for him...not bad! Just wish I could find a cheap Mezco part 6....

I personally still love Friday the 13th films. However my taste for certain films in the series has changed over the years quite dramatically I must say.
There was a time when I was young when I'd watch all the films and loved them to death (save for Jason X, no matter how little I could still tell that was a shit movie IMHO ), to the point where I didn't dislike any of them.
Well after taking a few years off from the world of Crystal Lake and having seen more mature and overall better rounded films. My personal taste had changed and about 4 years ago I decided to once again delve back into my childhood slashers world again.
After watching most of the movies again I realized that I only really TRULY liked the first three films and felt that the series should have ended there.
Each one from the first to the third seem to complete each other like the first three Rocky films almost. In the first film we see a deranged mother Pamela Voorhees begin her reign of terror and ultimately meet her end. In the second we find that Jason was indeed ALIVE and well, although that brings up a few plot holes, I still feel a reasonable explanation could be put together as too why he and his mother had no contact for all those years. I digress however, Now we see Jason start to come into his own as the famous slasher we all know and love. Although he is taken down, he is not gone for good. By the third film we see Jason acquire his signature hockey mask and he once again begins his slaughter of both good and bad people. This time though Jason meets his fate.
I feel these three films tie in nicely and give a nice three movie beginning, middle, and end to the series. After the third film I feel that the series begins to spiral out of control into utter silliness and can't be taken on a serious movie note even within the genre. Like Freddy and Michael before him Jason becomes over saturated with films and with each new movie the character and story become more and more incoherent. So with that said. I would like to state I still own the First three films on DVD and enjoy watching them every Halloween. The others though, well lets just say I don't get the same thrill watching them as I used too.

Totally understand. To me,I am a huge Jason fan,so they could make 'Jason goes to the beach, and gets some sun' and I would still watch it and love it. Now I will say,you are correct in how the first three films go hand in hand. You are 100% correct! They have a more iconic 'Horror movie' feel to them, but IMO I am happy they continued the series. Now,you are correct on how they tend to be on the silly side later on,but come on man...everyone still loves Jason! So,did you not like part 4? To me it still had the same feel as the first 3 and the series could have, and from what I have heard, was going to end with it. But IMO...part 6 had an epic feel to it,and it is my favorite as of now. Also, good to meet you, don't believe we have spoke before,so...Howdy!

That's cool, I don't have a problem with that. Allot of my family and friends would do the same thing.
I'm glad to because without the series continuing then I would have never fell in love with the series and also Jason has allot of fans. So like the man says " If we film it, They will come ", there is an audience for Mr.Voorhees and I hope there continues to be.
Oh, believe me. I still love Jason and I'd rather have him in MK9 than Freddy. So don't get me wrong I may like the first three only but they are Jason movies. I mean how can I hate that big lug?
Well I'd rather they stuck with the first three. However the fourth just wasn't that much of a match to the other three for me to like it. Just how I am I guess.
Well it's nice to meet you too. However I'm a comer and goer here you can ask few of the members that care to remember me. However most that do or did are gone. Still I'll continue to come back to these forums until it no longer functions.

there is an audience for Mr.Voorhees and I hope there continues to be. Me too It would be awesome to have a good Jason game for console period! I don't know how anyone could hate him Thats fine,it isn't as good as the other 3,but still has that feel to it,to me anyway. 10-4 Its just good to see activity on the forum. Once again, good to meet you man!!!

Used to be a huge fan of the Friday the 13th series years ago, God knows how many times I've watched every single movie. Though after years of not watching them, I decided to do a F13 marathon and damn did it bring back memories. I have to say I appreciate the series a lot more now then back before, I even enjoyed watching part 5 again (I'm sure a lot of fans would know the reason for the hate). Well I'd rather they stuck with the first three. However the fourth just wasn't that much of a match to the other three for me to like it. Just how I am I guess. Serious? Not a single scene left an impression on you? Not even the infamous Crispin Glover "Dance"?

I never said that the film didn't leave an impression on me. Just didn't like it compared to the first three. I mean I'll watch it. Just not by choice. And yes, I remember ' George Mcfly ' and his T0T@LLY @w3 $UM D@NC3!1!! lol. ;D

I love that dance ;D Well, been a little while since I last logged in,but I been super busy. Plus I got some new stuff. My local party mask shop closed, and they were practically giving masks away,so check these out... First is my Don post 06 mask,I have customized it a bit, here I am wearing it Also got a don post 08 and have a question about it,first here it is... It is super ugly, the hair is falling out,and it is real tight,so I have thought about de-hairing it and re-painting it as a Jason mask.Thoughts on such? Here is my Deluxe Freddy Leather face Ghostface And back on the topic...the main thing I want to show you guys. We all know this is a Friday the 13th thread so... Check this out. So I went to the dollar general, and saw these... So I got an idea to make my own Jason masks since I have before with the one you saw in an older post, but these masks are more the correct shape, and thicker plastic. So I went and bought a bunch of them... And I am proud to say this is what I came up with... Tell me what you guys think. So here are a couple of them... Of course the main one you see,the same as the other pic,is a part 7,also is a part 8 that is unfinished, and an unfinished part 7 I am working on for a customer. Tell me what you guys think, and if you have any questions on them,or how to make them, etc. just ask me here. I plan on making one from each movie, and thinking of selling them. I am really getting into the Halloween groove! More pics of my FT13 masks as I complete them.

It came out really cool. I like the Leather Face mask. Also I like the photo of the Jason mask on the ground in the woods. Again great job!

Well I love horror films in general and I love the FT13 series and have seen every film although only possess the first three on DVD yet Part 2 is somewhat missing strangely then again I did lend it to a mate but all hope for me is not lost I racked up a bit of spare change and am in the process of ordering the FT13 collection along with the original and remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. My Horror collection is pretty shit to be honest pardon my language but it's true the only FT13 stuff I have other than the films I have and the ones I'm getting is a small bust of Jason masked in my loft somewhere probably next to a load of Predator stuff which I can't display since there is hardly any room to stick them. I've recently rewatched FT13 Part 1 still awesome in my view as is most of the series but have been watching the Scream films recently partly due to the recent release of the 4th but Wes Craven is one of my most favourite directors as I love horror/slasher films more than other horror films but my Horror collectables for FT13 or NOES won't happen for a while although I've seen a few pretty awesome figs of both Freddy and Jason that I've got my eye on but my next purchase will likely be a zombie Ghostface mask as I'm putting together a few Ghostface costumes for me and my mates on Halloween and have thought of doing a really torn up and badly scratched robe which I want to put Zombie Ghostface's mask with but I'm keeping the classic robe for myself and may give my mates the other costumes for a fair price plus I may sell my FT13 DVD's in my possession already when I get the collection as I don't want dual copies really but any money I could obtain from this I think will go towards the figures and maybe a little to the original JH Pred I wanna get but to finish Skullcollector you seem to have one of the most impressive FT13 collections I've seen.

Skullcollector you seem to have one of the most impressive FT13 collections I've seen. Thanks, but trust me when I say, there are better, but I am trying ;D Speaking of which, being it was my B'day,I did a little shopping while getting soaking wet in this crazy rain, but I did get this... First is a MEZCO Cinema of Fear Jason part 4... Pretty cool figure. Also found a Jason plush by FUNKO and though it is kinda childish,my love for FT13 stuff has limited bounds...so I picked up this guy Also, been working on some new masks that I make, got a part 3,6,and another 7 that was for sale... The 3 and 6 are still unstrapped, but I am working on them. Also,I had asked above if I should take that old off looking myers mask,de-hair it,and re-paint it as a Jason mask? Any opinions? Also, what do you guys think of my Hockey masks I been making?

Thanks bro,the more of them I make, the better I believe I am getting. I plan on trying to make my own latex mask, but still wondering if I should just turn that old Myers mask into a hood? Also,I believe you said you have a Jason bust? If you find it,please post it.I would love to see it!

I made a new mask, and it is one of my favorites. PART 9 JGTH:Final Friday Ending scene mask. The one Freddy grabs. I made it as close as I could but found that if I cut it too much it would fall apart, and also made a mistake, the cut by the eye goes above the strap not below, but whats weird is I didn't catch my mistake until it was to late, and I was watching the movie while I was working. But anyway here it is... Another thing,no matter how hard I tried,I couldn't get a picture of the full detail, and every pic I took the mask looks almost fully white, while it is nearly gray like in the movie. But this one is kind of a prop, just for looks, but could be re-strapped to wear. Working on a Freddy vs Jason ending scene mask now.

Awesome can't wait to see your FvJ mask Well it is finished, took me a while.End scene FvsJ mask....Didn't turn out as good as I hoped... Also 'tried' to make a Jason X mask, not quite right, but I may try to make a better one later... And also, here is a better Part 7 Jason mask, this is the third one I have made, and this one is for a friend of mine... I haven't made as many of these as I planned, was gonna sell them locally, but looking kinda doubtful,I been super busy, and hardly ever have time. Well, that's it for now. And don't forget guys,if you have any Jason or Friday the 13th items,be sure to show them.

Well,I hate to double post, and open this old thread, especially since I lost all my pictures on this thread, but I had something I wanted to share with you guys, and figured since it fit in this thread,I would just post it here. I hope that's ok! Well I decided to try something new,and try to make a mask. This is my Final Friday mask I hand molded, and painted. It is 1/2 scale (best I can figure),and I hand carved all the scratches dents and the axe mark,I also hand brushed the detail on it.It also has real leather straps. I did use an old NECA FvsJ package as my mold. I tried to get it as movie accurate as I could, which is difficult considering the fact Jason is shown very little in part 9 and when he is seen, the lighting is dark, making trying to see detail hard. Here are some more pics... Sorry, the detail does not show up that great, but you get the idea. I am very proud of it,and shocked how easy it was to do. 100% hand done, cut, and painted. Tell me what you guys think. I am gonna try to do a small scale Bio helmet too if I can,and I recently made a few bios to fit my predator figures.
