OK,so I have asked a couple of you guys about some music editing software, but I need some more info... So I decided to go to the people... Well here is my problem... I want to get some software that I can edit mp3's,play with the beats,up the bass, cross 2 songs with each other, maybe even do dub-steps,or auto-tunes.....I don't know, anything good. Here is my limits...it has to be cheap, something that will work, and something that saves files in a regular mp3 file so I don't have to convert them. So any help will be gladly received! Just anything that edits songs really!!!

DJ Mixstation 2, or 3 might suit you. Though I have no idea where to get a copy now. Try Ebay, or Amazon.
It lets you mix 2 songs, set the BPM, add effects, scratch, and easily record new songs. It's like a simple, and basic virtual DJ station.
OK thanks man,but I would rather have something thats out right now that is easy to get a hold of,instead of something I have to search for or order, but thanks.
Also you reminded me Rath..I am also wanting one that you can make your own beats, like if you wanna make a song yourself!
Anybody else got any suggestions??? Your help will be welcomed greatly!

Then you gotta find a website where you can download the stuff. Usually in a Pirated version. I won't guarantee you won't get more than you bargained for though. My experience with that stuff Is limited.

Just find any program where you can plug in real life Instruments, and use that. Or just Sample other songs.
If you want Pro stuff that does Everything you want in 1 program we're talking a lot of money. I suggest you settle, and improvise. No point in throwing tons of money at a Professional music editing program when you haven't got a clue how to use any of the stuff. Start small, and learn as you go along. Then you can switch up to the pro stuff.

Thing about it...they have some in stores for like $30-60,but I don't know which to get. I prefer a legal software I can buy at the store, and download in my computer!

2 different things there mate.
Here's some examples, head down to wherever you'd purchase this stuff, and use these for references:
Reason DJ Mixstation Series Reaper
These should get a conversation started, and help you get whatever suits you best. If It doesn't the clerk Is a moron, and he should be severely punished.

Ok..I'll try that, and maybe I will get what I need. Also,I have heard good things about reason, how good would you say it is?

I think It is very good. But It is hard to use for beginners. There's a ton of options, and In experienced hands you can create a masterpiece. But It's feckin' expensive.

I'd suggest ramming a long sharp object up where the sun don't shine. That'll teach him.

Cool edit Pro is pretty good. Though I doubt this one is cheap... its about some $200. But in my experience using it, its pretty good. Ye might want to check into it the price though... my version is at least 10 years old. you might find a legal copy somewhere a lot cheaper.
better yet I found ya a link for the older versions of it. I'm not sure how well the older versions work, for I have never tried them(I'm running on version 2.0) but since they are free, you can always give a try and see how you like it. www.oldversion.com/Cool-Edit-Pro.html
