While he may only be famous for most of the recent Generation as Wacko-Jacko, Michael is probably the greatest pop artist of all time. As for his choices in life I don't care to comment.
The music world has truly lost a King of Pop.
R.I.P. MJ

Rest in peace, pop king. We'll never forget you.
Now, it really is a shame that he died just before his comeback tour. I really thought he could have made success with that, and then, just before he even attempts it, heart attack. Rude twist of fate, it is.
Anyway, R.I.P MJ, let us remember him through his music.

It's almost surreal, It's hard to accept he's gone. I have many personal very happy memories connected to him, and his music.
Damn I'll miss it..
Rest in Peace

Honestly, I can't say I'll miss him because I never really listened to his music nor liked him all that much. But I sure as hell think he deserves respect, and so hats off to him. Guy's had a hard life I'd say.

I knew a joke was coming about MJ. I won't say anything about that, other than saying that I won't say anything about that. I feel bad for the man, and am glad he can finally have some peace. Or not. But still, I loved his shit up until the early 80's and felt kind of sad when I heard this. Another early death of a legend. RIP Michael Jackson, whether through fame or infamy, you will be remembered.

I was quite surprised when I heard the news... but I guess death is the one inevitable path everyone must walk through. He simply did not seem like a sick or dying person to me. oh well, may he R.I.P.

You can't take away that fact that he's a phenomenal artist; anyone who can record an album that is still (27 years after it's release) the best selling album of all time deserves credit for that if nothing else.
I remember going on our first and only family holiday outside the UK back in 88, and having Bad on my Walkman to listen to for the whole holiday. It was a great album, and even now if I hear Dirty Diana or Smooth Criminal I thnk back to that holiday.
Granted, in recent years his personal life took over his music, but he was still a gifted artist and will be missed by many.

Well I must say, his death was a bit of a Thriller. I never listened to his music properly, but a lot of respect to him as I know it was great. I never celebrated him in life, so I won't in death either, but I hope he rests peacefully, six feet under. (God bless him)

I was shocked to hear of his death the day of, but I must say I had a good laugh. Can't believe that Queen Elizabeth the II out lives Michael Jackson. So on that note a toast....
"Here's to the hole that never heals, the more you rub it the better it feels. And all the soap this side of hell, won't wash away that fishy smell. Wine women song and vice, simplest blue balls crabs and lice. We've had 'em all by Jesus Christ. Gentle Men... THE QUEEN!"
Rest easy now M.J. R.I.P.

This man's a legend. Still remember seeing much of his hits in the late 80's. The best memories I have of Michael revolves around the days when a couple of my father's friends and himself got together and half way into the conversation they started bringing up the days when they went to the clubs every night to kick up the moves to MJ's tunes. Major disco hits back in the day everywhere! My pops was a really good dancer then (still hold photos of him wearing jimmy or afro, lol) and whenever he wanted to put a grin on my face he just had to start dancing to MJ... ^_^. It's truly sad to see the king of dancers and entertainers go like that. Despite of all alleged controversies, what will really live on is all his worldwide humanitarian causes and recognition, his energy and brilliance on stage and on screen, and his timeless music.
RIP King of Pop

It's just so weird that he is gone.
I thought my friend was joking when she told me, but guess not.
It's sad, but that is how life goes.
