Hey, been a while since I posted anything, and I'm quite proud of this one so far. I'm in need of some good critiques though, well I crave them at any rate. So it would be greatly appreciated if you guys could give a whack at this one... Things of note: The background is not quite done yet I've fixed the gray splotch on the middle head's face I've fixed the odd angle on the top figure's head I can't do anything about the fact that the neck and body are a little off The lower figure's arms are supposed to bend like that. the image is 13x30 inches done on cardboard so it has those groves in it, I did my best to make them minimal as possible done with water soluble oil pastels.

Nice! its been a while since I last saw some free form of art that is not fan art or something. This actually brings back memories from my college drawing class. anyways, back to what you asked.... The work and detail into the faces, seems to be rather intersting and pretty well done. Considering that you worked on a cardboard, the the blending in the colors used is pretty good. As for the grooves made by the medium... I don't really find them to interupt on your work. I'd say they kind of add more character to the chaotic pain and emotions which you protray in this piece. Which I definitly would say that it is much better than using theme paper from a note book. As for the proportions on the guys, I don't find anyting off. I actually like the way that they present the emotions in this piece. All in all, I think that its pretty good... nice concept, nice use of colors... and definitly good choice on medium.

Thanks Frost. It seems that you are the only one who knows what the word critique means... Seeing as, after posting it on several sites before I did the final touche ups... and all I get are the usual "nice" "wow this is creepy" non-helpful seemingly half-witted comments on it that show that the person really doesn't think about it just looks at it.

You're welcome! hehe, if you hadn't asked for a critique, I would have probably responded with a one liner. But since you asked... and the little fact that it brings back art nostalgia, I'm more than happy to comply with critiques. That and I appreciate a good work of art.
