What are the rules on combat in here, the technique of fighting, how does one go about a fight on this site, to the death or just a fight.

Hm. Well, since I did have a lot to do with the whole creation of the RP section, I suppose I get to decide the rules on this, hm?
The style of the rp should be decided by the creator of the thread, or based off of the creator's first rp-related reply in that topic.
I like to sum it all up in just two different types of RP. Theres those who like to do one-liners, and those like General and I who prefer detailed posts. With paragraphs. While I have no doubt I fail with the paragraph, never the less I like to think that I do fairly well in details. If you want to view an example of pure brillance, may I suggest just reading one of General's rp replies. One-liners arent always just one lining, but regardless, they lack proper detail and are normally very short.
As for fighting, well since theres no death, it really doesnt matter all that much. Give them a chance from time-to-time to dodge, block or counter, but since there is no deaths, it would probably always result in a tie or truce, so dont sweat it.
As for battles that are intended to end in death. Well, for that you should have referees to judge the match and decide who did the best job and whos 'finishing' blow should end the others life. Hm, not sure. I never 1on1, well I have, just not for a long time. That is something you should discuss with The General.

There is one way I like in which where both duelists post an entire fight and then a judge decides who's the winner based on grammar, character, powerplaying etc. It is generally good fun and gives you more freedom then having to do it post by post. Hm.. I might make a Yautja fighting tournament, you know, so the males can impress the ladies. And if there are any ladies involved maybe they just felt like breaking some bones

But I'd hate to read General's version of a entire fight. Goddamn, that'd be like three pages worth in one post. [Shivers] I still like post-by-post. But thats me. Oh, a tourny. Cool. Ladies? We dont have any 'ladies' at the hunted. We have bitches and amazons. What? Its true. Yes, yes, we know Mas, you're ' the bitch.'

Well, if the General would post a giant post in the same quality as I've seen him do so far I'd bet he'd win. But, because of his tendencies to powerplay there would still be a chance for glory for the rest of us?
Post-by-post is just clumpsy and annoying. Being forced to write small post about what you 'want' to do is just boring. Writing down the entire duel gives you the opportunity to make a really sweet one.

Anthing can happen. If you want to control what happens, write a story. I can see sense in that if it was a Tournament, but if you controlled the other player well... They die O.o

Not really, remember that the two duelists posts are judged by alot of things like grammer, realism, power-playing, character etc. This would force the two fighters to make the fight interesting, read through their rivals sheets to make sure their character uses the skills and weapons he has, as well as act like he/she is supposed to.
The entire point of the post is for you to beat the other one, and then be judged wich fight was the best. And, if you're like me and think duels to the death is dull, you just make a rule that you're meant to beat your oppoent senseless, not kill him..

Well, its pretty simple. If its a melee combat then u can write u dodge u jump blah blah blah
Same goes for gun combat, you run , take cover, dodge bullets, delfect bullet with samurai sword, reload etc.
Just be sure to give ur enemy a chance, it will be unfair if you have entire control over a duel.
Like..... Human A, Human B
Human A fires at human B. Human B tries to dodge but got killed..
Its good with this to give the other player a chance.
Human A threw a grenade at human B. (here you wait for human B post)
Human B jump and hide behind a rock..
The player can choose to suicide. Human A runs and jump off the cliff leaving human B victory
Victory is mainly base on sportsman ship
