Hello everyone. Sorry if this does not belong here but I believe it is impotant that all be informed that my desktop computer was infected with a severe virus that began with the annahilation of all my screen savers, the blocking of youtube, wierd and unauthorized security software that I had no idea existed, and then finally making my computer shutdown and restart on its own before the operating system even finishes loading the desktop. Anyways, the warning is that I recieved and urgent message and when I opened it it was blank. After that everything went down hill. So yup... the warning is that if you recieve any strange emails from any of my email accounts please ignore them, as they could be the virus trying to spread though my contacts list. This are my email accounts just so you know : kuroikappa@hotmail.com, kuroikappa@gmail.com, and brios@students.tamiu.edu. Considering the virus situation, if you need to contact about any emails received from my part, please PM and I'll respond as soon as I get a chance, to confirm if it indeed was me who sent the email or not. I'll keep ya posted in regards to this issue. Also, I may be gone for a couple of weeks to finish off my research papers. sadly for me all my research material was on my desktop now I gotta start over again. anyways, heads up for the virus. Best wishes, Frost AKA kuroikappa

Hannibal and I have a couple of friends who suffered the same fate. It was an e-mail that destroyed their computer. As a matter of act, whenever they tried to turn it on, there was an eerie laugh let off. It was weird. Expensive to fix, but weird. Thanks for the warning Frost. I'll make sure to keep my eyes open for that. (I hope it isn't too expensive to get your computer repaired.)

Thanks for the conprehension guys. I really appreciate it.
For now I just bring an update on the situation. I took my CPU to get diagnosed and it appears that the virus pretty much screwed up my operating system. I'm going to have to do a system restart on the CPU if that don't work I'll have to get the operating system reinstalled which means that I have to go and purchase the damn thing. The good news is that they were able to retrieve all my precious info (yes that includes my research paper material) so I'm safe on that side. I'll probably get my CPU fixed later for I still have my laptop to work on that and all my precious info was sent to an external hard drive which I also had to purchase to get around the problem. So far... the expense of this little virus has not passed the $300, but still it is kind of expensive and kinda sad that my entire paycheck has to go on getting my computer fixed. but it doesn't matter, as long as I can fix it in the long run. The virus was destroyed by the good ol' people who saved my data so I don't have to worry about that any more... now its just getting the operating system back online... though I must say that it will take me a while as I am no IT tech.
Anyways, still be on the heads up for the email... we're never sure how far it went. once again, if you recieve a suspicious email from any of my accounts let me know so that I can confirm to you if I sent it or not.
keeping you updated, Frost
