remakes seem to be the cliche today in hollywood
and now you can add A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET to that growing list
PLATINUM DUNES who brought us TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in 03 and are slated to begin work on the relaunch of FIDAY THE 13TH in APIRL 08 have now been given the green light by NEW LINE to relaunch FREDDY as well
and its been reported that ROBERT ENGLUND won't be returning and that they will cast someone new to play FREDDY
so now there is this rumor circling around that actor MICHAEL ROSENBAUM know for his role on SMALLVILLE as LEX LUTHOR might be ENGLUND replacement personally i cant think of any one else so i could see this move
if not ROSENBUAM who the hell do they find good enough to replace ENGLUND to where it won't create a backlash. this its easier said then done. MICHAEL, JASON and LEATHERFACE all wore masks FREDDY really didn't so you just can't pick any bloke ;D

I personally think that remaking movies like these should only be done if they had failed to deliver something due to a lack of technological means at the time they were originally produced. What else is there to see i wonder... They have been reborn, killed, and murdered countless people in every way possible. Although if they decide in it's favor I could think of no one better than Smallville's Lex Luthor to play the role of Freddy. He's already bald which means they cut in expenses...
