If you haven't seen this and don't want it ruined, now is the time to F**k off.
It's weak but I guess it'll do.
First I'd just like to point out their were some unusally penis-like bugs in the swamp scene. I mean, they were huge and devoured people but they resemble them perfectly.
With that off of my mind, I can start.
King Kong did a wonderful job of combining romance, action and maybe to some a thriller style whilst keeping the natrual flow of the movie.
There's this real connection between Anne and Kong, the kind of depth that only a capable director could do.
It even made the romance interesting.
Kong had inexplicable graphics and some absolutely beautiful scenery. Imagine a massive rocky landscape, now add some lush green jungle, dense scrub and occasional rivers and you have Skull Island.
With the occasinoal Native Village scattered here and there it's almost untouched by technology.
The fight scenes had to be one of my favourite parts, with excellent music and some heroic moves from Kong these will have you hanging on the end of your seat.
Spanned over a good few minutes, the special effects and camera angles keep you throughly interested.
Peter Jackson also maintains good time between each battle scene.
This is a movie, unlike most these days that really goes to the extreme to please it's viewers.
It was my early christmas present.
Waht was really different to the original was that Anne actually likes King Kong, this gives the end a strange twist though as somebody says "It wasn't the bullets, it was beauty that killed the beast." Which doesn't quite make sense as they loved eachother. Or maybe she had looks that could kill?
Overall, Peter has done an excellent job with graphics, a good plot and some jaw breaking effects.
KING KONG definitely got my Ten.
