I understood it prefectly. They said that the human doesn't mind if the letters in the word are mixed just as long as the first one is in order.

It's very simple. When we read, we don't read every letter individually, so even if the letters are all messed up, we can still understand what has been written as long as the first and last letters remain in their original place.
