This are the first poems I've ever made, so but be surprised when you learn that they suck.
Love
Love,
Oh how thou has forsaken me.
Promises of joy and happiness
But all thou have given me is sorrow and despair
Promised love to the bitter-end.
Yet all thou has given me is sadness within.
Love
Oh how thou has teased me
Gave me a taste of thou sweet bliss
Only to leave me here, trapped in this abyss
Now I linger in thou darkness
Awaiting for the shimmer of light
Death Bed
Now I lay in this cold dark room,
Waiting for Death oh too soon
Now that I lay in this bed,
I await the troubles ahead.
I will be taken from this world,
The dark eyes of Death so near
I can’t say I was a good man,
decent and sincere.
I stare out to the midnight sky
The moon crescent, as though smiling down upon my demise
Now I fall under Death’s final scourge
Falling deep into the final slumber
Remerge I will, back to where we all once started.
Nevermore I am, nevermore I shall be.
The Gallows
Plummeting I am.
Into the eternal darkness that is Death
I watch as my life flashes by my eyes
My palms weak and sweating,
Waiting in torment for my demise
Soon the demons of Hell will be upon me,
Devouring my soul like so many before.
I feel the grip of Death so tightly around my neck.
I can hear the floor below cracking,
As I stand here with Death at the gallows
"Snap." The last sound I’ll ever hear through these ears.
As I dangle upon this rope,
I give out my last croak of despair
Darkness. Darkness all around.
My soul, now bound into the homestead of the demons.
Sleepless Night
I awake sweating in my bed this sleepless night.
The crescent frown of the moon shining down so bright.
I stare up to the sky with vacant expression.
How chilly it is, this cold sleepless night.
I hear the howl of the coyote, crying out into the night.
Instead of fright, on this cold sleepless night,
I feel comfort.
As though watched over by those who’s passed.
Oh how dark it is, this cold sleepless night.
As black as coal, and thick as ice.
Such a night, it is my vogue.
I close my eyes and fall to sleep.
Back to the wretched domain where I creep.
But when I awake, I will recall this night.
This dark, cold, sleepless night.
