Well, I would like to steal some penguins.
But Joker's business was at least based in Tasmania. Devonport to be precise, jokerdesigns.com/contact.php

Well Tasmania is small, how hard can it be to find all the guys named Jesse married to a Shelly?
Spike, you're right there close. We'll assign that task to you.

Over a year has passed since I made this thread, and alluded to working with Michael on a new forum endeavor. Yeah that never came into fruition. We had some good ideas, solid concepts, but we never did anything with them. I haven't spoken with him in a while, I imagine he's busy with University, work or traveling by now. I still check in here, almost daily, just in case.
No word from Joker either, but a few months ago I did attempt another E Mail, only to discover both his E Mails are now out of commission. Take from that what you will.
If anyone visits here in hope of Predator related fan content, we have our archive, you'll find it at the bottom of the forum. There's also a couple of sites left who deal with this fandom:
www.avpgalaxy.net/ predatorium.com/
I do not use those forums, I've long outgrown my old love for these franchises, I remain here largely for emotional and practical reasons.
But If anyone drops by, looking for anything, want to talk or just have a question, I'll still be here.

I've been watching this thread since it was posted and all the replies, and each time struggled to find something to write. It's been a long time since I first joined this site, and much has changed in my life, but the constance of this site has always been here. I guess writing something was a little too much like saying good bye.
I started RPing nearly 10 years ago at this very site, with some very questionable writing, punctuation and even plots. But there was always the motivation of the long standing forum members and the new who joined in the earlier days who joined the RP's and gave me the incentive to write and improve to the level where I am now writing a book in my spare time.
Then there were the older forum members who could easily have ignored the overly opinionated and often unthought out threads and posts of a young adolescent, were instead patient and who were probably more understanding than most of the sanctuary this site offered both myself and many other younger members.
I have popped in every now and then to reminisce about all the times here. The RP's, the debates of far out questions of the Predator Universe, the more odd members and the drama. Oh boy was there drama at times. However, what I'll always remember are the times that the site was so busy and exciting, that I would take my tiny holiday allowance to find an computer abroad at an extortionate rate because I couldn't wait to dive right back in and talk to everyone here. It may have been sad, but I don't regret not getting a touristy badge because at the time this was where I found myself most happy.
Whilst the activity on this site has reduced, there are those friends I made here who occasionally pop up on my facebook and I see their lives are as a full and changing as mine, and I hope to all the members who I didn't have the opportunity to know better, that their absence here is because their lives are a buzz with opportunity as well.
As long as the site is here I will visit though I see few posts coming. As the efforts of the moderators in making a commemorative area for the last site here is a true dedication for what this site was, it seems a shame to tarnish the many posts of committed members with trivial threads now, so we shall leave it be. The Hunted, ended but never forgotten.
Thank you to everyone here. The chance to talk and know so many people is an experience I don't think I will ever duplicate and I wouldn't wish to. You were all amazing to know and I wish everyone the best in their future endeavours.

Lol, as long as new posts are on this thread, yeah, I'll keep up with it. Whenever one of those rare emails comes in that tells me one of my Predator: The Hunted threads has been updated, my heart gives a little jump.
I lived through the loss of a homesite twice before, one after 9 years of dedicated following, and many, many years worth of friends, and one after only a handful of years, too many of which were stretched out and thin, like these at PtH have been.
But it's always worth the time spent in candlelight vigil, seeing these old friends off into the quiet night.

The Hunted... Can't believe this place still exists, glad it does! A strong sense of nostalgia again brought me back to revisit the site once more. Took a while to log in, as I had long forgotten my username and password, just like some of you. So much has changed, so much, but the best part, that remains intact, the very few members who still visit and remember that little online place where they could just be "silly" together and have "pointless" yet fun discussions. I know I didn't take part in the discussion, as an active member, when opinions were being requested about the overall direction the site should take. So it might be a little unfair for me to say it, but for what it's worth, turning this into a more generic sci oriented website, was probably not the right choice, given this site's history. Not that it would make any difference in stirring up the site's popularity again, but it all seems so confusing now, and doesn't seem to fit the previous well put together and much simpler layout. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it should've always remained as we've remembered it, as the number.1 Predator fan site on the web. Like probably most of you, I've completely outgrown all Predator and fictional lore. Life naturally but surely came banging on my door, and boy, does it runs at a tremendous pace now. Unsurprisingly, I'm a completely different person, doing completely different things, on a completely and ever so constricted time frame, with yet so much more stuff to do and worry about. To anyone seeing this message, whether and old acquaintance or friend, I sincerely hope you're all on your way to success on a healthy business, and a family, or any other goal you set up for yourself. And lest the million dollar question goes unanswered... Yes, I still love our alien friend, the Predator! And although I can't say I'll ever visit, or take part of it as an active member again, I have a feeling I may still continue to visit, just as long as you keep it alive. Take care all, cheers

If only I saw this message a few years ago, I was down that way lol I don't know about you, but I logged in to find messages waiting. Nada, zilch, nuthing! Except the privacy policy update. So much nostalgia going through this board, brings back so many good memories of my teen angst haha! We could always make a Facebook page for the members (or something similar) to keep in touch -shrug-

Anyone have Discord?

Fuck me, this place just refuses to die...
Y'all feel free to make a Facebook group too. Pretty sure Michael's still on that, Joker too if you're lucky.

Place refuses to die because it's a forum. Forums were nice things. Unlike modern social media, you could hang out, have long chats, everything stayed for the record and it really did function as an online community. I see this with a lot of old fan forums, be it Predator or Resident Evil. Folk keep coming back to dead forums. Point is, modern short youtube comments and single boxed tweets and facebook just suck and depress people. Folk miss being able to have actual conversations and debates and chats and arguments with people online.
Hope they make a come back.
Everyone one of you fuckers on here, regardless of whether I know you or like you are agree with you, are awesome individuals. Hope you're doing well, cheers.

I don’t think you’ve ever written something that I didn’t profoundly agree with. Perhaps someday this place will see a resurgence. Either of new fans, or old members coming back. I’m hoping Michael will stop by sometime soon, and perhaps we can finally restore this place as it was, i.e. move the categories back and such. I don’t engage much in any social media, but I’m still on Xbox Live, and for some fucking reason, Instagram. You can find me as Tundra 793 either place if anyone’s interested.

I wonder if the current state of the world would bring old members stuck in their homes back to the boards... Heh.
How are things where ever you are?
