Alright... So...I was without internet for a long time. Real life caught up and well, two kids and all that this comes with caught up. I'm around, I'm once again reading and keeping myself abreast of things. How is everyone? Please tell me nobody has died...I've had, four, yes, people, four people within my family circle die within the last three damn years. I'm thirty now, I started visiting this site, I believe, when I was what...in my early twenties? I'm still writing, though my writing has now evolved into a thing I can no longer share as I'm trying to make a work of it. Hannibal is still doing well and kicking, working full-time so you won't see much of him. My kids are now going on nine and six. Assassin's Creed 3 Rules, um, Lords of Shadow 2 is coming up and I'm wetting my panties like every other fangirl of the Castlevania franchise. Lemme see, yes, Ezio was never hot until he was fifty-three...Oh, my hair's super short now...anything else you guys wanna know?

Well, I am overjoyed that you're back, and I hope we'll see Han back here sometime soon as well. If you're planning on sticking around, you'll need to give these two threads a quick read: Future of the HuntedStaff ThreadOh come on, It was mediocre at best compared to the rest of the series. Connor was a bland character with tons of potential, but left to rot, and the gameplay was the same as the previous games, just improved. Best thing about that game was the naval combat. He was smokin' hot until the day he died. EDIT: Oh It's Rath by the way. And Michael is now Spooky. Orthy is still Orthy.

Connor was the personification of the US at the time.
I personally think that character was made for Americans, because I got him, I saw right into that character. I WAS that character, frankly, I believe every American that wishes for something better than what we are; IS that character. He embodied the naivete of the time, the hopes and dreams of a people who had no idea exactly what they would become and what the price of that dream would be.
He starts off being naive and hopeful, and ends up being cynical and frustrated. Ask any American, and they will tell you that this is exactly what happens as we grow older and realize that the dream is far more difficult to achieve when there are millions of people who interpret success and progress in different ways.
Han tells me, that the combat is so close to modern military combat; it excites him. They had a Navy Seal help them through the combat...even he agreed the fluidity between moves was remarkably life-like.
I thought Ezio was every Italian stereotype thrown into one man. He was arrogant and self-centered and driven by nothing but revenge until he realized, when he was in Constantinople, that his feelings didn't matter and it was the greater good that he now looked for. Said so when he wrote to his sister.
Out of the all the women in his life, the women he seduced; it was his sister he finally confided in because he left HER in charge of the Italian brotherhood.
As far as my sticking around; I did read the threads, and I remember Setgin and a few other Mods saying this site was considered more of an archive of information that may or not be livened up by any more motion pictures or games.

Perhaps then, I simply didn't "get" the character. Compared to Ezio i just didn't feel that he had enough exposure, and his portrayal and dialog felt rushed. There were a few moments that stuck with me though, like Achilles burial. Oh yeah, the combat was excellent, by far the best of the series. And if Han gets excited about it, I just appreciate it more. That is probably why i still prefer Ezio to Connor, the simple fact that Ezio had 3-4 games to grow with. Whereas Connor gets the one game, where i feel he wasn't portrayed well enough. We're still going to re-construct the entire forum. Michael is, for all intents and purposes, the new Administrator, and we will be moving forward with the upgrades soon.

Hell, it's about time. I'm really happy that you and the family are doing well. I haven't been able to chat with Shawn for a while given that my brother went ahead and lost my phone. It's good to hear that he's getting along. With regards to your lost family, I can only offer my condolences. ------- I still visit this site often, though I mostly hang in the background due to lack of topics I would like to participate in. It's odd for me to occasionally read back on some of the discussions and realize I was only 16 and 15 and even 13 years old at times. Feels like reading posts from someone else. I'm glad that you still enjoy literature. I've been reading much less than I used to in the past year, but I'm writing more often. I recently started reorganizing everything I consider of somewhat readable quality onto fictionpress, including an un-fixed rough draft of what I hope will eventually be a novel. Anyways, I hope that you and Han will drop on by, and hopefully some other folk will visit and we'll have us a big reunion. www.facebook.com/gleb.gerasimov.3www.fictionpress.com/~sokol

So while its not ideal as I can barely see what I'm writing, I can use my phone go access the forum. Its not particularly great but its better than the Xbox.
In regards to staying, side why the hell not.
So my update. During my time away I fell on love with Skyrim. In a big way. At last count I have around 700 hours logged over 14 different characters. I have several games but now only play Black Ops 2 with friends and Skyrim if I'm on my own.
I also got highly addicted to Game Of Thrones (TV show and books). Expect to see some GoT related sig changes in the near future. Anyway I'm off go bed now as I have wedding in a few hours..not mine though, that'd be cray.

In regards to staying, side why the hell not. Perfect, you can be the new Co Admin. What is it about that game that gets people addicted? I only get into it sporadically, and I've only ever had one character in his mid 40's. Seriously, why is that game so magical to you people? I'm Danish, I should fucking love all the Viking references in it, and the open world and all that shit, but I can never love it like everyone else seems to. I'm making that a new word. Also read this ASAP Future of the Hunted

Adara! My god it's good you're back on. Your kids have grown since we've last chatted. I believe one was in diapers when I last spoke to Han. Funny how real life changes so much of us. I hope your husband can come on to say hello. I'm typing and going down memory lane.
Anyway, its good to see you, hopefully we'll see more of you.

Its funny because Skyrim is the first proper RPG Ive ever played. It wasn't even on my horizon as a game to get, but my son wanted it, so I bought a 2nd hand copy on the understanding that I'd play it and if if wasn't too violent he could have the copy I bought for the same price I'd bought it for. 2 hours in and I told him he had to buy his own goddam copy!
Describing it as GTA Dragons doesn't really do it justice, but I love open world games like this where you can really make a mark and exist within the world, even dealing with the minutia that comes with it.

Greetings to Ada, Set'g, Han, Orthy, and everyone! Great that you guys are dropping in. Ive been a bit inactive of late because I'm currently travelling without much internet, and so I'll also be brief. Ada, truly sorry to hear about your hardships, and I offer my condolences too... But great to hear you're still writing, it's a shame you can't share. I have been dabbling in some writing too, just for a little fun. As far as games go? Skyrim rules. Scandinavian influence is epic. But otherwise hibernating until the advent of GTA5, and till I can hire a PS3 to play Last of Us. Oh Golly

And surprisingly accurate. Except for the fact that every single fucking Nord in the game has an Austrian accent.

Ironically, I'm not even that far into the main game.I just create a character, and spend days wandering around doing side quests and exploring, and trying to avoid BIG FUCK OFF SPIDERS!

Aye those things get annoying. Until you get the power to set them on fire. Then they're awesome. When i first started playing, after the intro section, i walked around for 5 minutes, and then i was murdered by a crab.

When i first started playing, after the intro section, i walked around for 5 minutes, and then i was murdered by a crab. The opening to Skyrim did not have quite the same emotional impact on me as Oblivion did. Oblivion was the first such game I ever played, and when I first got out of the introductory stage, I was under the direct impression that I was now a fugitive and at any moment the Empire would send troops after me. So what happened? I literally RAN halfway across the world dodging patrols and sneaking past absolutely EVERY living human being out of fear of capture until I ended up in Cheydenhall by pure accident and spent the next two days hiding in the city for the "heat" to die down. When my brother walked in the next day and I explained to him what happened, he shook his head, laughed, and walked out.

Avoid if possible, if not...well there's a reason I spent almost all my time/skill points on archery and enchanting. One arrow does 986 points of damage. I'm actually that much of an arachnophobic that I raise them from the dead in most cases just to kill them again so they turn to ash and I don't have to walk past their corpses.

I found the depth of the game crazy, what with all the books and everything. Is anyone the same as me - when I'm telling people about my character and exploits, I refer to it all in the first person like it's actually me. Normally people who don't give a rat's ass, because other gamers want to tell you about their exploits and there are too many to mention. Fuck, now I want to play again. What race do you guys play as?

Oh I was becoming a tad bit obsessive with Skyrim for a while and finally just gave in and bought the legendary edition. I love how in the game there are so many individual stories going on, they really did a great job on capturing a live action world. Even the little details, like picking up a book and being able to easily learn more about Dunmer history or native beasts of Skyrim and many more of the like, is just a huge plus to me. All I wish now is for them to improve it more, build from the depth they already have. I'm a Vampire Lord all the way I'm so happy they gave the players an option to transform into this powerful bat-like creature instead of just catch a disease and be hated by mortals when becoming a stage 3-4 vampire : P before I usually went with Nord, Redquard, and thanks to a mod I had splurged a little in the Demonic race. I will admit I too was beginning to think in that way, sometimes even having dreams about Skyrim to only get up and play more Skyrim all day long... Also, what is everyone's feelings on the new Elder Scrolls online that's coming out? On a side note to the original thread: Yay I'm so happy you're back Adara :3 wish I had expressed that sooner, and I'm glad to hear you are doing well.
