Good to know I won't be the only one here playing that.

Haha yeah I saw the trailers and it looks like it's gonna be a good game plus playing knights of the Old Republic and other Star Wars games may have helped spur my decision but all in all it looks like it will be a very good game.

Just about everyone thinks It could turn out to be the best MMO ever created. I've heard some rather amazing stories about the PvP gameplay from Game Testers.

I grew up on the original Star Wars, watched all the films, had all the figures and the vehicles, and it pretty much shaped how I see and judge sci-fi today.
Trek not so much; I watched the newer series like TNG and Voyager and thought they were ok, ish, but my sci fi heart will always belong to world of the Jedi and the Sith (yes even the CGI whore that is The Phantom Menace - the 3 way lightsaber fight at the end just saves it!)
Let's face it, you really can't get much cooler than a lightsaber can you?

I know what you mean. Some Trek episodes are better than others, but that's to be expected in any TV series. Some Star Wars fans think that certain Star Wars movies are better than others as well. The lightsaber is cool. Star Trek's "Holodeck" is very cool as well!

I say star wars. all the way. watched the old ones in 1995 all the time. now in 2010 and 20 years old, still a proud fan. I was pretty a space fan but i never really like the star trek shows just a couple years back, i did see the movies that came out before in the 90s. and the new star trek was quiet good with the CG animations. which leads to the most shocking thing I'm going to say now. since were all fans of star wars and star trek but in The movie star trek, when they enter the asteroid field you can actually see that R2D2 is floating around some were. its hard to find and make out though. I didn't know about it till my Science fiction teacher told me about it last year in his class.
