I dunno if any of you have heard of the series, but The Dresden Files. I couldnt pick any single one of them to be my favorite. It's like the adult american version of harry potter only with a lot more ass kicking. and magick makes more sense.

The entire Anita Blake series of vampire books, the Dexter trilogy by Jeff Lyndsay, Chris Kuzneski's Payne and Jones books. I also like Stephen Kingand Dean Koontz's work, as well as most of Kelly Armstrong's books.
The odd book also catches my eye like The Butterfly Man by Jeff Lee, which is exceptional.

The Positronic Man Soldier Boys The Wave Duskwing
Probably a few I can't remember, too, and some of the Redwall series.

These are some of the books I was most impressed by at the time: One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey Dandelion Wine /it's so beautiful/ and 451 Fahrenheit by Ray Bradbury The Hitch hiker's Guide /and the Restaurant/ by Douglas Adams Catcher in the Ray A Word Child by Iris Murdoch The Green Mile by Stephen King The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton 100 Years of Solitude by G. G. Marquez Actually E-Churchill has a taste similar to mine or vise-versa The classics of science fiction - Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein. In fact none of my favourites have been written recently

Hmm... I'm not very much of a book person, per se, but I've recently taken up an interest in the "Republic Commando" book series by Karen Traviss. Fast paced, got plenty of action, great storyline... Keeps your attention.

I really enjoy reading and my most favourite series is definitely the skulduggery pleasant books by the author Derek Landy the first in the series being Skulduggery Pleasant. If you hadn't guessed the main characters name is Skulduggery Pleasant, he is without a doubt the best and funniest character in the entire series, and it is defiantly a series of books i recommend to anyone looking for a series of books that will have you laughing as well as thinking. It has great depth in not only the storyline but also it's characters, and it is one of very few series of books in which i have found it very hard to put down.

I'm not much of a reader, so I don't have any favorite books per say. I do read a lot of Lovecraft though, so for whats It's worth, just about all his stories are my favorites.

There are so many to choose from, but as my top favourites I always pick Stephen Baxter's Mammoth books. I read the third one when I was maybe 10 and the impact was huge. Another two almost as important books are Fred Hoyle's Black Cloud and Stanisłav Lem's Solaris.
More recently I have been reading a lot of Stephen King's books. The first book I read from him was From a Buick 8 and that's probably my favourite, and Apt Pupil as a novelette, but all of his works are just brilliant.
Just to name a few...
