If there was a group on a site that more people use that was dedicated to PredatorTheHunted/Polaris, do you think we'd use it more often? Say, Facebook or Twitter or something that we actually use?
I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes the dead board just depresses me.
And I'd like to have a venue to discuss sci-fi and Predator. It'd just be a lot easier if it wasn't out of sight and out of mind. Thoughts?

There's a lot of factors concerning changing forum hosts, but the simplest answer I can give Is that we don't have the resources to migrate, and manage a new forum.

I kind of meant it more along the lines of, it's people who make a community. Since forums aren't nearly as popular on the Internet as they used to be. If someone throws together a Facebook group it won't really need managing, and we'll all know about it. And other people who find out about it could join.
Since people are more interested in social media as a means of information exchange, they'd be more likely to interact with it. Then we wouldn't need anyone to host, anymore.
I could look into it, If anyone is interested in talking sci-fi via Facebook instead.

You're free to create a group, and advertise it here, but I don't know If we will "officially" endorse it. I for one don't use Facebook, and we'd need the Staff Members votes on it.
This forum won't be going away anytime soon, and I think the members left won't entirely abandon it either. We have a very complicated situation here, but It's still our intention to successfully revive this place. Joker still legally owns the forum, and I for one feel a duty to manage it, and we get a lot of traffic from the Hunted website.
We can't stop you from making another Sci Fi/Predator/Whatever group elsewhere, but I'm not abandoning this place just yet.

I was thinking the same thing as a non-Facebook user... Of course, having a group of some sort in FB might bring some new users here.

I don't think Facebook has an advertisement feature that would suit our needs, and creating a group there just for that purpose, negates the very purpose of it. We're open for suggestions, but be aware that our situation is pretty complicated, and It will be hard to find suitable ways to reignite our community.
