Well, I actually started playing as 9 different characters. I went through a stage where it was almost weekly; I'd see someone on the TV and create a character based on them My first character was a Dark Elf called Ommaddon. He specialized in stealth and archery (still does) and wears a mix of Nightingale and ebony armour with ebony weapons. He's also a vampire Lord.
My other main two are an Orc called Uruk Hai and a Nord called Conan The Barbarian. Play as a sneaky elf for a while and you really get a jonesing for running round and smashing people in the face with a war hammer, which is where the Orc came in.
After a while this for a bit stale so I wanted a challenge. A similar style of play (two handed sword, strong race) but with a big disadvantage - no armour. This didn't work out quite so well and I changed him around a bit to make him more of a generic warrior, but he's still fun to play. As for the others I created?
Khal Drogo got a bit too similar to the other characters, as did Legolas. Made a pure mage called Thoros of Myrr but he didn't do so well against the 8 legged fuckers.
Sandor Clegsne was fun for a bit, but Skyrim doesn't lend itself to being a massive twat, which is the only way to really play as that character. Did a Khaljit and an Argonian but didn't really do much with them.
Oh and apologies Adara, welcome back.

Why why why, why are all Nords suddenly Austrian? They made such an effort to get Scandinavian references right, why why are they all fucking Austrian? Is there some unknown stereotype about Austrians and Vikings outside Scandinavia i don't know about?

Not that I'm aware of, I just wanted a big bastard with a heavy sword and not much in the way of clothing or armour, so Ah-Nuld's portrayal of him seemed a good starting point

That's quite a number of successful characters you have there I don't think I've made quite as many to that extent. I've mostly restarted over and over until I had made the perfect character and then spent hours on the name. Eventually I would then give up and resort to Game of Thrones names like Arya or Shae. When I had first started playing Skyrim, thought heavy armor was the only way until I branched out to light weight. I've never been so pleased since then ^-^ I love my sneaky character. My favorite weapon modes to alternate between are duel wielding daggers or the bow and arrows for long range. It's the closest thing I can get to sharp shooting in gaming/non-fps for now. But now that I'm a vampire Lord I just use the blood magic powers and make the dead fight for me. hmm I never really got into my Kahjiit and Argonian characters either. When I got over the fact that my character had a tail, I lost interest in them.

Well, as I'm shallow I only go for armour I like the look of, and I can't think of any light armour other than Nightingale or Scale that really does it for me (and you sadly can't improve the horned scale armour). Even Dragonscale isn't that attractive, but I try to keep mg armour in keeping with my character. For a while my vampire lord wore the actual vampire lord armour and gloves, but with an added hood for sunlight protection. Now be seeds a mix of ebony and Nightingale (i wish there was an UN-enchanted set of Nightingale armour).
