Yes. I just said it.
One of my career paths involves nuclear work, specifically NEOT (Nuclear Equipment Operations technician) in a power plant. My other career path is medicinal, and besides surgery or anesthesiology, I was leaning to virology.
So the chances of me encountering that stuff certainly exist, and if you placed fake black vomit on the carpet before any modern day virologist that knew what it was, they'd have a heart attack then and there, so I'm not alone.

Honestly, what I fear the most is being in a situation where I can't do anything to help a loved one in risk of dying...

Orthrus, may I ask what would happen if somebody vomited black? Anyway for me, it's deep ocean water. Jut the thought of being kilometres away from land, down in the depths with predators (and prey) lurking around under you. Creepy. Even once when I was 10 or 11 and was on a school camp trip, we were kayaking in a lake and somebody lost their life jacket. So I had to jump into this nipple cold water and swim to it. Before that the teacher had told us the story of the crocodile in Lake Placid, so we were all a bit shaken up. Young and stupid though, no crocs in New Zealand (Well we knew that, but it's just the thought of things below you which I was emphasising) There's also parkisons, where your body eventually gets to a stage where it can't lift a finger, but your mind is perfectly in tact. No talking, no swallowing. I'd rather be mentally disabled or have somebody drop a hammer on my head than have a full physical handicap.

Black vomit is the term used when a person vomits a load of blood that's mixed with black specks, like coffee granules. It's a symptom of infection by a filovirus, such as Marburg or Ebola, and Hot as bloody Hell. You dip a finger in that, you're dead within a week. So if someone starts vomiting red and black in front of you, you calmly turn around, inject yourself with as much caffeine as possible, and bloody run.

The only thing i Really fear is losing a loved one. And the one thing i fear the most is losing my girlfriend. I don't really fear much else. There are things i don't like, but i am not scared of them.

My greatest fear is spiders, the big bastards. I'm fine with ickle one that I can pick up with a cup and piece of paper, but anything bigger than that and I start to have palpations and go into a cold sweat. If I have a spider-related nightmare I tend to jump out of bed, and run halfway round the bedroom trying to get them off me, while my fiancee looks at me like i'm stir crazy. The worst is when they just appear on screen when I'm watching tv.
My other great fear is losing my son, or not being there for him when he needs me.
The above might seem a little weird, that they should be the other way around, but I don't have nightmare's about losing my son half as much as I have nightmares about spiders.

I'm sure there is a lot of people here who don't like them, and/or hate them. Personally i don't mind them, but i wouldn't want it as a pet. A lot of the general public hates spiders too, you are not alone.

People are typically afraid of whatever can kill or hurt them. Other than that, it's family related disasters that scare people. In general though, I'm sure someone else has noticed that every post here depicting a phobia involved something that can get you killed. Spiders scare people because they can be poisonous (Though most aren't) enough to kill you, and since they're so small, they could be anywhere on your person and you wouldn't be able to find them easily. A hell of a lot of people are afraid of spiders, and just about everyone is uncomfortable with them. Even those that love spiders and work with them can have the chills sometimes.
So, now that I've stated the obvious....
